GBi wins WWW award for client site

MINNEAPOLIS (September 2002) — GeigerBevolo and North Memorial Medical Center received a World Wide Web Health Award in the category of Web Site for hospital/ healthcare systems. The award recognized the design of North Memorial’s Web site, called the Online Care Center.

The World Wide Web Health Awards recognizes the best health-related Web sites for consumers and professionals, providing a “seal of quality” for electronic health information. Designed by GeigerBevolo, North Memorial’s Web site was selected for its information quality and depth, site design and structure, relevant health information, ease of navigation and ability to attract and hold visitors’ attention.

North Memorial’s Web site features “care areas” organized by condition, such as cancer, childbirth or common ailments. While secondary navigation functions allow access to other information such as employment opportunities or directions to the hospital, the primary navigation — and the bulk of the site’s information — lies within the condition-related care areas.

The World Wide Web Health Awards and The National Health Information Awards program are organized by the Health Information Resource Center. Now in its ninth year, the National Health Information Awards program recognizes the best consumer health information programs and materials from organizations throughout the nation.
